Binance calls on Dutch users to remove crypto after failing to register – ZAWYA

The cryptocurrency exchange, which had been operating in the Netherlands without permission from regulators, announced in June that it was leaving the Dutch market after failing to register in the country
Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange, has asked its Dutch users to remove their crypto from its platform by August 17th, Dutch news agency ANP reported on Wednesday.
Binance was not immediately available for comment.
The cryptocurrency exchange, which had been operating in the Netherlands without permission from regulators, announced in June that it was leaving the Dutch market after failing to register in the country.
The Dutch Central Bank (DNB), which registers financial service providers in the Netherlands, fined the company in January for operating in the country without proper registration.
