Galaxy Digital Chief Executive Mike Novogratz said the approval of a spot bitcoin exchange-traded fund in the U.S. is “a question of when not if,” based on his contacts from asset managers BlackRock and Invesco.
“We are gonna fight like cats and dogs to win market share there once it’s approved,” Novogratz said on the crypto financial services firm’s second-quarter earnings call Tuesday.
Invesco first partnered with Galaxy to file for a spot bitcoin ETF in 2021. The two firms refiled after BlackRock and others submitted applications for similar funds in June.
